Prof. Li graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences with a Master degree in Internal Medicine in 1988, and obtained his doctoral degree in 2009 from Guangzhou Medical University. Since that, Prof. Li has been serving at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital as Chief of Department of Respiratory Medicine, Chief of Internal Medicine, Chief of Internal Medicine Teaching and Research Office, as well as Deputy Director of Respiratory Diseases Research Institute at Sun Yat-sun University. He has been actively engaged in clinical practice and research of respiratory diseases for 38 years, during which he has presided over 10 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, and published over 60 papers on Chinese and international journals. His practice focuses on diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical respiratory diseases, and he is well versed in the clinical application of respiratory endoscopy and mechanical ventilation. Prof. Li also has extensive clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of chronic coughing, shortness of breath, hemoptysis, chest pain, chest tightness, pulmonary nodules, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, lung infection, pulmonary heart disease, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary fibrosis, pleural effusion, etc.
