Prof. Chen graduated from Medical School of Nanchang University with a Bachelor degree in Medicine in 1983, then obtained a Master's degree in Hematology from Institute of Hematology Research, Beijing University in 1990. In 1995, he went to the Vaccine & Immunotherapy Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to receive his postdoctoral training, after which he promoted himself through Research Associate at MGH, Senior Scientist in Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University, Senior Scientist at Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard University. In the meantime, he passed the Certificate of United State Medical Lisence Examination (USMLE) and became a licensed practitioner. Prof. Chen studied and worked in China, Harvard University and MGH for 40 years. He has been deeply engaged in immunotherapy research and clinical therapeutic application for hematological maliganancies and solid tumors. He has extensive experience in chemotherapy and immunologic examination, as well as immunotherapy targeted therapy and cell therapy. During his time in the US, he was awarded Outstanding Contribution for Leukemia Research and won an international patent. He has made presentations at many international conferences, and has served as reviewer of multiple world-renowned journals. After returning to China at the end of 2019, Prof. Chen had been presiding over the Division of Hematology, Immune & Cellular Therapy at Xiang'an Hospital in affiliation with Xiamen University, until he joined the Center of Excellence in Oncology at Guangzhou R&F Hospital in September, 2020.

Dr. Dong was once a Chief Deputy Physician and the specialty leader of the Oncology Department, Shunde Hospital of Southern Medical University. Throughout his career, he has served as Chair of Oncology, Hematology and Blood Transfusion at Shunde Hospital of Southern Medical University, Assistant to CEO and Chair of Medical affairs at Guangzhou Royal Lee Cancer Hospital, and Chair of Education & Training and Hematology at Boao Evergrande International Hospital. 

Dr. Dong has presided over four medical science & research projects on municipal and provincial levels. His trophies include a provincial-level third prize on medical paper, and a municipal-level third prize on research achivements. He has published over ten papers on national and provincial journals, as well as one medical book as the chief editor.
